BrainBoost is built for every student. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA on brainbooststudy.com and in the BrainBoost iOS and Android apps.
What we do
- Screen reader labels and roles on buttons, links, toggles, and dialogs (VoiceOver, TalkBack, and desktop screen readers).
- Text that scales with your device text size (within limits that keep layouts readable), and high-contrast light text on a dark background.
- Keyboard access and visible focus on the web app and these pages.
- Reduced motion: animations calm down when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Voice input and spoken answers (dictation and the Voice Tutor) as alternatives to typing and reading.
- Automated accessibility checks (axe) on the main web screens before release, plus manual checks on phones.
Known limits
- AI-generated images, charts, and videos may not have complete text descriptions. Ask the AI to describe any image or chart in words.
- Some math is shown as rendered formulas; screen readers may read them imperfectly. Ask the AI for the steps in plain words.
- Third-party pages (sign-in providers, payment pages, connected apps, and the browser agent’s live view) follow their own accessibility.
- Timed class quizzes are set by teachers; teachers can give extra time.

If something is hard to use, or you need content in another format, email thebrainboostsupport@gmail.com with subject “Accessibility.” Tell us the screen, your device, and any assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 2 business days and to fix blocking problems quickly.
